Dublin hurling captain Eoghan O’Donnell switches to footballers in surprise move

Dublin Eoghan ODonnell Mattie Kenny

Dublin hurling captain Eoghan O’Donnell has reportedly made a surprise switch to the county's footballers.

The Irish Independent reports that the Whitehall player has joined Dessie Farrell's squad days after their Leinster Championship final win over Kildare last Saturday.

O'Donnell was named Dublin hurling captain earlier this year, with Mattie Kenny describing him as a 'natural leader on the field' and a 'very good leader off the field' at the time.
