Aer Lingus is hiring aircraft cleaners and cargo warehouse operatives in Dublin with some fantastic perks like staff travel discounts.

Aircraft Cleaners

Aircraft cleaners are needed as part of the Ground Operations Department based at Dublin Airport. On offer is a market leading total remuneration package of over €33,000, and these roles are full-time and part-time fixed term contracts, which are available from March 2023.

According to Aer Lingus, cleaners get a salary of €15.81 per hour with training provided. The work is described as being "physically demanding" and involves working as part of a team to clean and dress aircraft cabins, galleys and toilets to tight deadlines whilst following health & safety including Covid-19 cleaning protocols and security standards.

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the closing date of this notice
  • Full EU driving licence
  • Pass a 5-year security background check and Garda Vetting process*
  • Provide verifiable references
  • Eligible to live and work in the E.U
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written - Good communication skills – both spoken and written
  • Willing to work a range of shift duties in a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation.
  • Flexible, committed, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
  • Be physically fit and able to pass a medical assessment
  • Be prepared to adhere to all Aer Lingus PPE requirements
  • Proven capability of using own initiative while participating as a team player
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines while producing high quality work
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • Previous experience in an operational environment
  • Industrial cleaning experience

Cargo Warehouse Operatives

Aer Lingus is looking to hire cargo warehouse operatives to join their staff at its Cargo Department. On offer is a market leading total remuneration package of over €33,000.

Cargo warehouse operatives get paid €15.50 per hour, and the role involves a variety of shifts over a 24/7 timeframe. Main duties include preparing cargo shipments for onward flights across the world and receiving inbound cargo from global origins, and making sure that all cargo preparation tasks are handled in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

  • A full clean EU Driving Licence is required
  • Comfortable working with IT Applications with basic keyboard skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with a proven ability to present facts clearly and objectively
  • A high level of energy and enthusiasm combined with the ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative while contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU
  • Provide 2 verifiable references
  • Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for Dublin Airport
