DSPCA seeks owner of Giant Flemish Rabbit brought to their shelter

The DSPCA are appealing for the owners of a stray rabbit to come forward.

The Giant Flemish Rabbit, known as Meabh, was brought to the animal charity last week. The rabbit is thriving in the centre and is likely a pet animal due to her friendly interactions with staff.

Gillian Bird from the DSPCA said that the rabbit will be rehomed if the owner is not found after a certain timeframe. She said that the Giant Flemish Rabbit is more common in Ireland than people think, as the charity helped rescue a large number of the rabbit breed last year following evidence of cruelty.
