A Canadian man says he plans on opening a shop that lets you buy cocaine and heroin. The move comes after the British Columbia government announced plans to decriminalise the possession of Class A drugs for personal use later this month.
The shop will be called The Drug Store and customers will be able to buy up to 2.5 grams of heroin, crack and other hard drugs including methamphetamine. Staff at the store will be wearing bulletproof vests and facemasks to protect their identities.

The man behind the shop is Jerry Martin, a local businessman who once stood trial for allegedly running an illegal cannabis dispensary. In a business plan provided to local publication, Vice, Martin wrote that the store will be a place where people can get 'safe tested drugs'.
The business plan reads: "The Drugs Store will provide customers with reliable access to safe tested drugs, harm reduction supplies such as unused sterile needles, pipes, etc., and educational information,”

Although the possession of hard drugs will be decriminalised, the sale of hard drugs could still land you in trouble. Martin went on to say that if he is arrested for opening his shop he plans on launching a legal case arguing for the selling of hard drugs under Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Speaking to Canadian television he said: “A lot of these people take a risk every day to go get their drugs, if it isn’t clean or safe, or they put themselves in dangerous situations. A lot of predators out there get girls to do things for their drugs, whether they’ve got the money or not.
“I don’t think it’s very comfortable for anyone, so they can come here and not have to worry about any of that. He added: “To the people out there that think it’s a bad idea, you have to look at it from the user’s angle and the family of that user.”
The Canadian government plans on decriminalising the possession of Class A drugs for personal use on January 31s. The move has been condemned by conservative critics and politicians.
The new rule will be on trial for three years and people over the age of 18 will be able to possess up to 2.5 grams of opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine, and MDMA without arrest, seizure, or charge.
