Drivers have been told to prepare for traffic chaos on the roads with nearly 20 million getaway trips planned over the long bank holiday weekend for the Queen’s Jubilee.
RAC estimates that around 19.5m trips will be made on the roads between Wednesday and Sunday this week.
A poll of 1,460 drivers found that Friday is likely to be the most congested day. This is due to the number of day trippers, combined with families returning home from half term breaks.
