A lorry driver escaped with just 'a few cuts' after their HGV overturned on a busy motorway last night.
The incident happened on the M66, near junction three for Bury, at around 11.30pm. Drivers were told to the avoid the area as emergency services rushed to the scene.
North West Motorway Police posted pictures of the incident on social media. They showed the lorry overturned on its side in the road.

But, despite paramedics being called, the driver escaped the crash with just minor injuries. Alongside the photos, North West Motorway Police said: "Earlier tonight an HGV overturned - thankfully the driver escaped with a few cuts - j3 m66 closed for recovery."
In a tweet posted at around 11.30pm last night, Transport for Greater Manchester said: "ROAD CLOSED. The M66 S/B entry slip road is closed at junction 3 (off Pilsworth Road).
"This is due to an overturned vehicle. Please seek an alternative route."
The road was reopened again by around 3am.
