A group of Israelis who regularly travel to the West Bank to protect Palestinians who are victims of increasing attacks by settlers say their Jewish faith drove them towards activism. On Tuesday, at least five activists were injured while rushing to assist Palestinians being harassed by settlers in the village of Jannatah, near Bethlehem.
Ziva Sharp said her Jewish faith motivated her to travel from Jerusalem to the West Bank to stand up for Palestinians – a commitment that led to her being set upon by fellow Israelis also professing to be driven by Judaism.
