Drew Barrymore admits she's back on dating app after seven years of being single

Drew Barrymore has opened up about her love life, admitting she is ready to start dating again after being single for seven years.

During Monday’s episode of her chat show, The Drew Barrymore Show, the producer interviewed actress Vanessa Hudgens, 34, who spoke about her recent engagement to Colorado Rockies player Cole Tucker.

Vanessa opened up about her relationship with Cole, saying “he so gets me”, while flaunting her diamond engagement ring.

She also spoke about how she had been ‘trying’ to plan the couple’s nuptials, stating: “It's hard. I don't know, finding a venue is tough. I kind of just want to elope. I really, I'm lost.”

Drew, 48, then asked if Cole, 26, had any ‘opinions’ on the wedding, with Vaneesa replying: “I mean, he just wants to get married to me. He's like, ‘Whatever you want babe!’”

Vanessa and Cole began dating in 2020 after meeting via a Zoom meditation group, hosted by Joe Jonas. Cole proposed in February this year, after more than two years of dating.

She had previously been in an eight-year relationship with actor Austin Butler, with the pair splitting in 2019.

Vanessa then questioned Drew about her love life, asking if ‘had been sliding into anyone's DMs or dating at all’.

Drew replied: “So I haven't been sliding into DMs but I did get back on my dating app.

“And I went on some dates here and there, which felt like a big effort and fun, you know, to follow through. Not that the time spent was an effort, but just to, you know, engage out there in the world not stay home. [I] don't think anything's clicking.”

Vanessa responded: “You can't rush it.”

Drew has been single for seven years, after splitting with art consultant Will Kopelman. The couple, who share daughters Olive, 10, and Frankie, nine, ended their four-year marriage in 2016.

On a prior episode of her show, Drew had displayed the profile picture she uses on the private, membership-based Raya.
