Video footage shows the moment a lorry was blown over in strong winds on the motorway.
A dashcam camera caught the terrifying incident on the M62 on the evening of Tuesday, April 11. The Met Office had put a yellow wind warning in place, with gusts of up to 60mph expected.
As strong gales battered the region, a HGV, that was travelling in the left lane near Rochdale, tipped over and crashed onto the ground. It then slid across all three lanes before hitting the central reservation, the MEN reports.

One "minor injury" was reported. On Twitter, National Highways North West announced that two lanes were closed on the westbound carriageway between J22 and J21 after the collision with traffic officers called out to the scene at around 7pm.
In an update posted at around 12am this morning, they said: "All lanes have reopened on the M62 westbound between J22 (Huddersfield) and J21 (Rochdale) following the earlier collision involving an overturned HGV. Residual delays have cleared and traffic is flowing freely. Thanks for your patience this evening."
There was chaos elsewhere on the M62 on Tuesday, after two other lorries became involved in a major collision near J12 (M60/M602) and Birchwood, causing a huge diesel spill and the motorway to be completely closed overnight.
Those involved in the earlier crash sustained minor injuries in the incident, with one casualty rushed to hospital from the scene by paramedics. There were delays of over 90 minutes after the crash as traffic police and paramedics worked at the scene.
