Dozens of people were seen queueing all the way up a street in Tenby for a spot of roast dinner on Easter Sunday. There was a long line of hungry diners outside Tenby House in Tudor Square just before 12pm patiently waiting for the pub to open.
Thankfully everyone was let in quickly once the pub opened its doors, according to a witness. When we called the pub just after 2pm, we immediately heard the loud babble of the lunch service in the background.
A member of the bar staff apologised that they could not speak to us as they were "absolutely rammed at the moment". A person who saw the queue said: “I haven’t seen Tenby this busy for a long time. It’s definitely the busiest day of the year so far - you’ve got to weave in and out of people and dogs just to get through the square!
"The queue for dinner was stretching back really far. It looks like everyone was waiting for it to open. The dinner must be amazing - either that or lots of people overdone it on the booze yesterday and want to mop up the hangover.”
Tenby House is a family-run business that opened in 1983, according to its website. As well as offering traditional pub grub and drinks, it has rooms for people to stay in when they visit the seaside town.
