Dozens of floral tributes left at the scene in Northumberland where 16 and 17 year old lost their lives in early hours crash

Floral tributes have been left at the scene where two teenage boys lost their lives.

A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old passed away following a car crash in the early hours of Sunday morning. The collision happened on the A196 near Coopies Way in the Stobhill area of Morpeth, Northumberland.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, after being called shortly after 12.40am. Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, both teenagers passed away at the scene.
