Dota 2 BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024: It's BetBoom vs Falcons at the Upper Bracket Final

The BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 tournament is almost at end as we're down to the final four Dota 2 teams. At the Upper Bracket Final, we have BetBoom Team facing off against Team Falcons. During the Group Stage, both teams actually ended at the bottom of their respective groups. However, it was during the Playoffs that these two started to show just how good they were.

Sweeping Opponents

At the first round of the Playoffs, BetBoom went against LGD Gaming. The first game saw teams pretty much on the same footing until LGD started to pull away. Fortunately for BetBoom, their draft was mostly geared into the late game which is what eventually happened. This gave BetBoom the victory after about a little over 40 minutes. In the second game, BetBoom's choice of Sven and Dragon Knight proved to be too much for LGD, who couldn't really do anything about it. BetBoom ended the game with a win and moved to the next round.

This time around it was Gaimin Gladiators that BetBoom had to face. Gaimin joined the tournament as one of the favorites, which initially meant it was going to be a long day for BetBoom. In the first game, the two teams were even. It was a team fight at just after the 15-minute mark that tipped the scales. BetBoom managed to pick off the heroes of their opponents which resulted in a huge loss for Gaimin Gladiators. BetBoom didn't look back after that and went on to win.

The second match lasted for more than an hour and it boiled down to who had the best hero that good take full advantage of the late game. That responsibility fell on Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko whose Naga Siren became difficult to deal with after getting Blood Thorn and Black King Bar. Despite this, BetBoom didn't rush things and just slowly let things fall into place before grabbing the victory.

Making a Mark

While Team Falcons may be a new team, it's composed of veterans in the competitive scene. Considering that their first opponent in the Playoffs was Xtreme Gaming, it was clear that they hand their hands full. Xtreme is one of the best teams from China right now and ended the Group Stage of the tournament on top. That didn't seem to both Falcons as they proceeded to dominate the first game. Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf ended the first game with 19 kills and zero deaths on Timbersaw. Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak had a good performance as well on Pangolier with 5 kills and zero deaths. The second game had Wang "Ame" Chunyu on Juggernaut doing his best to carry Xtreme. It wouldn't be enough as this time it was Oliver "skiter" Lepko who led Falcons to victory with Naga Siren.

The next match for the Falcons was against another Chinese team with Azure Ray. In the first game, the combination of Lou "Lou" Zhen on Luna and Zeng "Ori" Jiaoyang on Storm Spirit proved to be to much for Falcons. Azure ended the game in just a little over 36 minutes. Not wanting to go to the Lower Brack, Falcons went hard in the second game with ATF getting nine kills and zero deaths on Razor. Meanwhile, skiter also had a big performance on Dragon Knight with eight kills and only one death. Falcons won to tie the series at 1-1.

In the third game, it was Malr1ne who stepped up with a 15/1/7 on Razor. It didn't help Azure's case that skiter and Andreas "Cr1t-" Nielsen both contributed with seven kills each. With the win, Falcons was able to move to the next round with Azure getting pushed to the Lower Bracket.

That said, who do you think is moving forward to the Grand Final between BetBoom and Team Falcons?
