Everything you can do with DashPass
Luckily, I already had an Amazon Prime membership, so I decided to try DashPass myself. For scientific purposes, of course.
Okay, so admittedly, maybe I left my house keys at work and got back home really late. To my editor reading this, I definitely didn’t get the cleaners to let me back upstairs because the elevators locked me out. Who would wait an hour and a half in the office lobby for them to finish? That would be embarrassing.
By the time I got home at 8pm (evidence attached), I wasn’t feeling like cooking, doing the weekly shopping or running errands. (Reading this back, I sound so adulty — yuck.) That’s why I redeemed the DashPass offer with my Amazon Prime membership. Here’s everything I got.

First off, I needed dinner ASAP and was craving something comforting after a long day at work. I missed being in Greece, so, of course, I had to get Gyros and Loukoumades with Nutella. I saved $7 with DashPass — score! My hot tip is to filter DashPass and deals so you get the best bang for your buckeroo.

The next thing on the list was the weekly shop — gah. I would’ve honestly pushed it to the next day if someone else didn’t do it for me. But then I wouldn’t have been able to get my co-worker flowers for her birthday — which made her day. Talk about a butterfly effect. Shout out to Damien, my DoorDash Dasher, who made sure the flowers were fresh and asked me which colour I’d prefer. He’s the GOAT.
Instead of ducking from store to store and getting home even later, I got to work out to Legally Blondes. The flip and wave are still iconic to this day. I’m just so glad that Legally Blonde 1 and 2 are on Prime Video, so we can see where the twins get their love of pink. I will forever know how to pronounce “ammonium thioglycolate,” thanks to Elle Woods. It’s the perfect binge in preparation for the prequel TV show.
My DoorDash orders came so fast that I had to stop mid-way working out, but after showering, I dived straight into my goodies. Listening to the rain tucked up in bed was so nice while I munched happily on my Greek food. I finally got to rent The Wild Robot, made by the same creators of How To Train Your Dragon. It follows the adventures of a fox, played by Pedro Pascal, a duck, played by Kit Connor and, of course, a robot, played by Lupita Nyong’o. Don’t let the wholesome animal animations fool you, this movie will both break and mend your heart in a good way.
With the combined benefits of Amazon Prime and DashPass, this offer truly gave me an unmatched level of convenience. It means you can shop, stream, and order from your favourite local restaurants and stores. All the best things in life, IMO.
