As Kamala Harris prepares to officially concede the 2024 election to Donald Trump, Democratic voters are taking to social media, urging the vice president not to give up, citing missing votes.

While the election results pointed to a clear victory for Trump, many Democratic supporters, especially those in the progressive wing, are having a difficult time accepting the outcome. On social media, many are arguing that the significant loss in the popular vote, along with uncounted ballots, should be further examined.

Just one day after the election, on November 6, using the hashtag #DoNotConcedeKamala, individuals on X are questioning the legitimacy of the result. As of Wednesday morning, the hashtag exploded on the platform with some posts amassing hundreds of thousands of views and thousands of comments.

"I don't normally do this s***, but at this point doing something is better than nothing. Recounts in Georgia, PA, and several other states where Kamala lost by narrow margins should absolutely be recounted in light of the bomb threats, voter roll purges, etc. #DoNotConcedeKamala," one user wrote.

"How can the total number of voters be less this year than there were in 2020 after we've had the biggest turnout than ever before? Demand a recount and an investigation. #DoNotConcedeKamala," another added.

"How in the F*** did she lose like that when, day after day, you saw her rallies growing and his shrinking? #DoNotConcedeKamala," another user wrote.

These activists are skeptical of the vote count, pointing to Harris' underwhelming performance in several key states and alleging discrepancies in the tally.

Naturally, many on the right can't help but point out the irony in the trending hashtag, calling liberals the new election deniers.

"And just like that they are now election deniers," one user wrote.

"Democrats are trending #NotMyPresident & #DoNotConcedeKamala And just like that, every liberal Democrat in America became an election denier, a conspiracy theorist and insurrectionist. The liberal tears are delicious this morning," another user added.

It's unclear when or if Harris will concede. As for the trending hashtag, it's believed to have little impact on the formal transition of power.
