Donald Trump says he would 'love' a unified Ireland and 'it may as well happen now'

US PRESIDENT Donald Trump said that he would “love” to see Ireland unified and that “it may as well happen now” as it is “going to happen eventually”.

Trump has weighed in on the question of Irish unity just weeks after Prime Minister Andy Burnham said a referendum on the matter was “off the table”.
