Donald Trump has suggested LIV Golf has 'unlimited money' as he prepares to host the inaugural season finale at his golf course.
Stars from the Saudi-backed breakaway circuit will descend on the Trump National Doral course in Miami for this weekend's event, which is worth around £44m.
It is the second LIV event to be hosted at one of the former US president's courses, following the competition in Bedminster in July.
Trump, an avid golfer, has aligned himself with the competition since its inception and told PGA Tour stars to '"take the money now" ahead of that event in the summer.
He took to the course in Miami alongside his son Donald Jr and Brooks Koepka for the Pro-Am on Thursday and was asked for his thoughts on the controversial competition.
"Very good. It's doing great. Unlimited money", Trump says in a clip filmed by a WPBF 25 news reporter on the course.
He added: "I think the Tour really blew a great opportunity and now they are in a much more difficult position," Trump told reporters after playing 18 holes in the Pro Am competition.
"It's big time, it's big time money, unlimited money, they love golf, they actually love golf and the Saudis have done a fantastic job," Trump said.
"The enthusiasm, you hear the music, you hear a lot of things, it's different and so we are having a good time."
His comments come after he went public with his backing of LIV Golf in July when he suggested there would be a merger with the Tours - despite the civil war brewing in the sport.
Trump also aimed a sly dig at successor Joe Biden, having previously labelled himself as the best golfer among the rest of the presidents.
Following a shot, Trump turned to the camera and quipped: "Do you think Biden could do that? I don't think so."
The competition in Miami is a team invitational, with the 4 Aces group tipped to be among the front runners. That line-up consists of Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Pat Perez and Taylor Gooch.
