Donald Trump paints his dream of a terrifying future – and the world is no longer laughing

Donald Trump loves a bit of A.I. slop, in fact, we could go as far as to say that the images and videos he generates (or gets someone to generate) are effectively being used as propaganda tools. The latest collection of images shared by the president show what appears to be an American empire with Greenland, Venezuela, and Canada owned by the U.S.

Trump shared two images to Truth Social apparently showing his vision for the future of America. In one image Trump is standing on a snowy plain with mountains in the background. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio stand behind him as he plants the American flag in the ground. A sign in the foreground reads: “Greenland – US territory EST 2026.”

Obviously this is referencing the president’s desire to make Greenland the 51st American state, something which he’s been hyperfixated on for a while now. Trump has proven that he won’t back down over Greenland, despite almost everyone disagreeing with his plans for the country. However, the next image he shared showed the true extent of his plans for the U.S. and it looks like he’s aiming to expand the country in a major way.

Trump wants an American empire

The second image shows Donald Trump sitting at his desk in the oval office. Across from him, European leaders including Ursula Von Der Leyen, Keir Starmer, and Emmanuel Macron among others. To the side is a map which shows the U.S., Greenland, Canada, and Venezuela all painted over with the American flag.

The message is clear, in this fictional, A.I. generated world, Trump has somehow successfully taken control of Greenland, Venezuela, and annexed Canada, all things he’s spoken about doing many times during his second term

So this isn’t exactly new information, we knew Trump wanted these territories but it doesn’t make it any more likely to happen. Trump does tend to inhabit a fantasy world, last year he shared an A.I. video of him, Elon Musk, and Benjamin Netenyahu all chilling in “Trump Gaza.”

Of course, the start of this year has seen some disturbing developments, what with the U.S. kidnapping the Venezuelan president and essentially taking charge, and Trump threatening military action in Greenland. We may have laughed at the A.I. slop shared by Donald Trump last year, but this year it seems like more of a threat. He’s made it clear what he wants and he’s doing whatever it takes to get it.

There’s no doubt the U.S. president wants to see these images become a reality before he leaves office. Whether he’ll actually succeed or not remains to be seen.
