- Donald Glover has assured fans that the long-awaited Community movie is still in development, despite previous delays.
- The film, a continuation of the NBC sitcom which ran from 2009 to 2015, was officially announced over three years ago.
- Most of the original main cast, including Glover, Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, and Danny Pudi, are confirmed to return, with Chevy Chase not attached.
- Scheduling conflicts have been cited as the primary reason for the hold-up, but Glover said they are “working on it right now” and McHale confirmed funding and a script are in place.
- Community creator Dan Harmon is co-writing the film with Andrew Guest, and it is set to be released on the US streaming service Peacock.
