CHENNAI: Ever since the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has offered all continental and national federations a chance to trial a new set of rules for penalty-corner (PC) set-pieces, the move has led to polarized opinion, largely against bringing any changes to one of the most exciting elements in the sport.
The FIH's idea behind the proposed changes is to enhance the safety and to slowly minimise the use of protective equipment by the defenders during penalty corners.
