When the Miami Dolphins traded for Tyreek Hill this offseason everyone knew the offense would be better, but no one knew the impact that the former Kansas City Chief would have.
Pairing Hill with second-year wideout Jaylen Waddle has allowed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa so many more opportunities to get the ball in the hands of his playmakers.
The duo, affectionately nicknamed “The Blur Brothers,” has combined for 1,688 yards which is more than any other pair of teammates in NFL history through eight weeks, according to the NFL’s media research department.
The previous record was originally set by former St. Louis Rams wide receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt, who totaled 1,679 yards through the first eight games of the 2000 season. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders tied the same mark for the Denver Broncos back in 2014.
Hill is currently on pace for 2,042 receiving yards in his first season in Miami which would break the league’s single-season record which was set by Calvin Johnson back in 2012.
