The Miami Dolphins have added a number of impact players to their offense this offseason, and that trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Dolphins are signing former Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots running back Sony Michel.
Michel was traded from New England to Los Angeles right before the start of the 2021 regular season. He played in all 17 games for the Rams, recording 845 yards and four touchdowns on 4.1 yards per attempt, as he helped fill the gap that was left by Cam Akers’ injury on the way to a Super Bowl victory.
The former Georgia Bulldog joins a Dolphins backfield that boasts Raheem Mostert, Chase Edmonds, Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed and Gerrid Doaks. Michel should help provide the in-between-the-tackles running that they were lacking.
