Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa sets career-high for TD passes in a season

The Miami Dolphins were down 7-6 late in the second quarter of their Week 16 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa drove them down the field to set up in the red zone.

After benefitting from a questionable roughing the passer penalty on Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, Tagovailoa hit running back Raheem Mostert for a touchdown to take a 13-7 lead entering halftime.

The score was Mostert’s league-leading 21st touchdown, and it also set a new career-high for Tagovailoa in a season, as that was his 26th of the year.

26 passing touchdowns is tied with Dan Marino for the seventh-most by a quarterback in team history. Marino has five of the other six with Ryan Tannehill snagging one.
