The Miami Dolphins had their second-shortest wait of the draft weekend before they were back on the clock on Saturday after picking Stanford’s Elijah Higgins at No. 197.
Then, at No. 238, just 41 picks later, general manager Chris Grier added Michigan offensive tackle Ryan Hayes. Some have projected that he might transition to guard at the NFL level.
Tackle was one of the team’s biggest needs entering the selection meeting, and they added a young player who could compete for a depth spot with a number of veterans.
