Dolphins’ Jason Sanders Had Elite Celebration After Game-Winning Field Goal vs. Cowboys

The Miami Dolphins clinched a playoff berth after taking down the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve for their 11th win of the season.

Although the offense has largely carried the Dolphins throughout the season, it was the performance of kicker Jason Sanders that led them to victory on Sunday evening.

Sanders attempted five field goals for Miami in Week 16, and he nailed all five, including three from 50+ yards and a game-winning kick as the clock expired.

After punching the Dolphins’ ticket to the postseason, Sanders had an elite celebration, counting off the number of field goals he converted on his fingers while his teammates lifted him in the air.

After the ball split the uprights, Sanders was hoisted into the air by Miami’s field goal unit, who showered him with celebratory pats on the head. The kicker made sure everyone in the stadium was aware of just how many field goals he nailed in the win.

The 28-year-old provided 16 of the Dolphins’ 22 points, courtesy of five field goals, including a career-long 57-yarder, as well as a successful extra point attempt.

Sanders has now converted on 22 of 26 field goal attempts this season, and he’ll look to add to his tally in Week 17 when Miami takes on the Baltimore Ravens
