The Miami Dolphins, with an extra day to prepare, were downed by the Tennessee Titans on Monday night, as they were handed their fourth loss of the season.
Through 14 weeks, Mike McDaniel’s team has put together a 9-4 record, and after Monday, questions are starting to build up regarding their potential as contenders this season.
With just four games left in the regular season, Touchdown Wire’s Jarrett Bailey has been producing weekly power rankings for the NFL. Last week, following their win over the Washington Commanders, Miami jumped up to No. 6. However, after their defeat, they’ve fallen back to No. 7.
Here’s what Bailey has to say about the Dolphins:
“Well that was weird. I still can’t quite figure out how the Dolphins blew a 14-point lead with under three minutes to play, but they sure did. And when you look at the respective schedules of the Dolphins and Bills, the Week 18 matchup between the two teams could be for the division.”
Ahead of Miami, at this point, are the Buffalo Bills (No. 6), Kansas City Chiefs (No. 5), Baltimore Ravens (No. 4), Philadelphia Eagles (No. 3), Dallas Cowboys (No. 2) and San Francisco 49ers (No. 1).
The Bills were the team that jumped the Dolphins from last week to this week after they beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
