Dolly Parton’s sister reveals why family hasn’t shared cancer diagnosis

Stella Parton spoke with Gayle King on CBS Mornings about her late sister Dolly Parton 's legacy and private battle with cancer .
Dolly Parton passed away on August 25 at age 80 following a brief fight with cancer.
Stella explained that details regarding the diagnosis were kept private out of respect, stating that it was her sister's business.
She noted that while Dolly never explicitly asked the family to conceal the diagnosis, she never granted permission to disclose it either.
Stella shared that the final request her sister made of her was for prayer.
