Dolly Parton's estate lawyer quit, and staff resigned before a judge barred her nephew, the company running her business claims. She's Alive says it has hired guards for employees, including at their homes. It blames threats it says came from Bryan Seaver, her former head of security. Seaver denies threatening anyone.
A Nashville court granted She's Alive a temporary restraining order on 23 September, a day after the company filed its lawsuit. Both Seaver and his business must stay 1,000 feet (305 metres) from She's Alive staff, lawyers, and business partners. A 7 October hearing will decide whether the ban lasts.
