December ICE NY cocoa (CCZ26) is down -169 (-3.02%) today, and December ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ26) is down -118 (-2.83%).
Cocoa prices are sharply lower today as a rally in the dollar index ($DXY) to a 2-month high has spurred long liquidation in cocoa futures. Cocoa prices were already on the defensive from Monday on signs of abundant cocoa supplies from the Ivory Coast. According to Ivory Coast government data, farmers shipped 2.18 MMT of cocoa to ports in the current international cocoa marketing year (October 1, 2025, through September 27, 2026), up +19.8% from the year-earlier period.
