London-based outfit Dogwoof has recently taken on international sales for the Sundance title 'Look Into My Eyes,' directed by Lana Wilson. The film is set to have its European premiere at CPH:DOX next week, with distribution in the U.S. handled by A24. Lana Wilson, known for her previous works such as the Emmy Award-winning 'After Tiller,' 'The Departure,' and the Taylor Swift documentary 'Miss Americana,' delves into the world of New York City psychics in her latest project.
'Look Into My Eyes' offers a glimpse into the lives of a group of psychics as they conduct deeply personal readings for their clients, exploring themes of loneliness, connection, and healing. Wilson's lens captures the stories of seven unconventional healers and creatives navigating the challenges of finding solace and pursuing their dreams in a bustling metropolis of eight million people.
The deal for international sales rights was sealed between Dogwoof's chief content officer and Cinetic Media's co-head of sales, highlighting the film's poignant portrayal of human connection. Oli Harbottle of Dogwoof praised the film for its tenderness and compassion, commending Wilson's skill in providing intimate access to her subjects.
Wilson herself expressed that 'Look Into My Eyes' goes beyond exploring psychic readings, serving as an invitation to contemplate the significance of art and performance in our lives. The film's editing is handled by Hannah Buck, with Stephen Maing serving as the director of photography. Kyle Martin takes on the role of producer, supported by a team of executive producers.
'Look Into My Eyes' promises to offer audiences a thought-provoking and immersive experience, shedding light on the intersection of spirituality, creativity, and human connection in a bustling urban landscape.
