Dog breed being kept in homes is 'not a family pet', expert warns

An expert dog trainer has issued a warning against people buying one particular breed which is 'not a pet'.

Jacob Morgan, founder and trainer of the YorkshireCanineAcademy.co.uk, said he believes that another breed of dog could soon be added to the UK's list of banned dangerous dogs. There are currently four banned breeds in the UK - Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brasileiro.

Jacob, who has trained more than 2,500 dogs and owns five himself, said he believes the Belgian Malinois will be the next breed to be added to the list. He said the dog 'is not a family pet' and 'will chase small animals, vehicles or children', Wales Online reports.
