JAIPUR: A 9-year-old boy suffered injuries on his cheeks and other parts of the body after he was attacked by a Pitbull at the Hidah Ki Mori area in Ramganj.
Three days after the incident, the boy’s family has lodged a case against their neighbours at the Ramganj police station on Sunday and claimed that the dog had bitten others too in the colony. Police have registered the case and have intimated the authorities of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) and are working to identify the breed of the dog.
According police, Manjit Singh, the boy’s father, a resident of Khalsa colony, his complaint stated that on April 14 his son was playing with his friends in the colony at 10 pm when the incident took place. "When he was playing with the Pitbull that belongs to Balkishan Sahani, who lives in the same locality, jumped onto his son and attacked him. The dog was allowed to walk free and his owner was careless. He said his son screamed for help and other children also ran away," said a senior police officer of Ramganj police station while quoting the FIR on Monday.
Later, Singh’s family took the boy to the hospital for the medication. The boy got discharged from the hospital on Sunday. "The victim’s father has also alleged in the FIR that the dog had attacked other people too in the past," the officer added.
