We could call this: When sports wedding proposals go wrong.
On Opening Day 2023, a Los Angeles Dodgers fan decided that jumping out of the outfield seats and jogging on to the center field grass to get down on one knee — WITH A RING!! — was a great way to ask for his partner’s hand in marriage.
But, as you’d expect, as the stunt went down during the Dodgers’ 8-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, security in Chavez Ravine did NOT take it lightly.
As you’ll see in the videos below, he gets tackled so hard by security guards, putting the proposal to rest. I hope the guy got a “yes” for all his troubles:
