Rangers went down to a late goal in Leipzig but can they turn the tie around in Glasgow?
CRAIG SWAN : Of course they can, but it is going to be tough as Leipzig will enjoy more space if Rangers have to come out and attack.
SCOTT MCDERMOTT : I think most Rangers fans would have taken a one goal defeat before the trip to Leipzig. It will take another big performance at Ibrox to do it but this Rangers team have been at their best in Europe.
They are definitely capable although I would still make Leipzig favourites.
MICHAEL GANNON : It might actually be more tricky for Gers in the home leg as Leipzig are better on the road when they have more space to operate. Rangers can turn it in to a high scoring basketball match though like the Dortmund tie. Still got a sneaky feeling for a Rangers v West Ham final.
There’s a small matter of an Old Firm clash with the title on the line before Thursday, how does Gio van Bronckhorst approach it?
CRAIG : Same as he approached Hampden two weeks ago. With all guns blazing. The league isn't over and the Dutchman's team has to win.
SCOTT : I think he has to approach both games the same - they need to win both. They are both massive games and especially if Rangers can win. I don't think they are at a point where they can prioritise.
MICHAEL : Van Bronkhorst has to throw everything at the Celtic game and just hope everyone comes through unscathed. An Old Firm win would keep the title going and also provide a huge confidence boost going in to the return leg.
This is a time to bite down rather than rest up.
On the flip side, Celtic could just about wrap up the title with a draw, but should Ange Postecoglou adopt a safety first stance?
CRAIG : Postecoglou would be changing his entire MO for one day if he did. There's no chance. Celtic will go for it, as always.
SCOTT : I am not sure that is in Ange Postecoglou's make-up. Celtic will want to win the game and to wrap up the title as quickly as they can. They will also want a big result in front of their own fans.
MICHAEL : It’s a bit of a myth Posteocoglou is simply gung ho all the time, as shown in the second half at Ibrox last month.
Celtic will be more cautious than usual but they might get some joy on the break if Rangers come at them.
The awards season is upon us, rather than the usual gongs, who has been your unsung hero this season?
CRAIG : Anthony Ralston. To go from the freezer to regular Celtic contributor and a senior Scotland cap has been some turnaround.
SCOTT : Managerial-wise, I would go with Tam Courts at Dundee United. What a job if he could guide them to Europe.
On the playing front, I would go for any of the Arbroath main starting XI.
MICHAEL : David Martindale. Livi’s season might be ending with a bit of a whimper after missing out on the top six but the Lions gaffer has still worked wonders in West Lothian.
