The Seahawks seem to be stuck on repeat. If you need evidence, look no further than the strikingly similar way that the 2023 season has played out compared to the 2022 season. In both cases, the team started out strong, winning five of their first seven games. Then the losing set in and the team entered Week 18 with an 8-8 record and needing the Packers to get upset in order to make the playoffs.
While it won’t improve their situation, to their credit the Seahawks are taking responsibility. As usual head coach Pete Carroll has (appropriately) taken the blame for his team’s issues.
Star wide receiver DK Metcalf also isn’t blaming anybody outside of the building. Speaking with reporters at the VMAC on Wednesday, DK said this is the bed that they made.

As for Metcalf, he has cleaned up the penalty issues from earlier in the season and has had another strong year on the field. Heading into the last game of the year he’s totaled 65 catches, 1,104 receiving yards and scored eight touchdowns. That makes the fifth straight year that Metcalf has had at least 900 yards and six scores.
