To say the Seattle Seahawks have a star at wide receiver is quite the understatement. Despite having a bit of an up and down season at times, DK Metcalf still routinely shows up in the biggest moments for his team, and is quietly working his way into the history books.
Against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, the Seahawks’ No. 1 receiver continued pushing his legacy. Metcalf has accomplished something only two other players in the history of the National Football League have achieved.
#Seahawks’ DK Metcalf is the 3rd NFL player to have 900+ yards receiving and 5+ receiving touchdowns in each of the first five seasons of a career.
The others: AJ. Green and Hall of Famer Randy Moss.

So, let me check: a Hall of Famer, and a likely future Hall of Famer are the only two other players to do this? Got it! Say, that’s not bad company is it?
Metcalf truly came alive when it mattered most for the Seahawks. On Monday, Metcalf only had one reception for eight yards through three quarters of play. But by the end of the game, he led Seattle with five receptions for 78 yards.
There has been talk among a small minority of fans about potentially trading Metcalf for draft assets. Moving on from a player on a potentially all time career trajectory would be a foolish decision.
