Star Wars fans will have to wait that little bit longer as the release date for Disney+ series, Andor, has been set back by nearly a month.
The show was originally set to air at the end of August but will now launch on Wednesday, September 21 with a three-episode premiere.
The Lucasfilm production spans 12 episodes in total and takes place prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It follows Cassian Andor as he embarks on the path to become a rebel hero. It is set against the backdrop of a wider rebellion against the Empire and how different people and plants became involved.
Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by an array of acclaimed stars both new and established in the Star Wars franchise, including, Mon Mothma actress Genevieve O’Reilly, Swedish Hollywood star Stellan Skarsgård and Good Omens actress Adria Arjona.
Other big names involved are Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw.
Though the series delay will be a blow to fans, Disney+ has also released a new trailer and images as well as a poster.
The two minute trailer show the war from a number of different perspectives, with Andor appearing to infiltrate the Empire. The voice over teases: "To steal from the Empire, you just walk in like you belong. They are so proud of themselves, so fat and satisfied.
"They can't imagine that someone like me would get inside their house."
Social media reactions to the trailer have been largely positive with fans initially sad about the delays but remarking on how visually impressive the show looks.
@admiraljello on Twitter remarked: "Coruscant, how I've missed you. That brief glimpse in Rogue One was too little. It's been so many years"
Many others were excited to see some old faces back in the Star Wars universe, especially that of Diego Luna as the titular Andor.
Star Wars fan account - @bestrogueone - tweeted a picture of the actor saying 'can't wait for his comeback in September'.
