Teachers have been told they could get cashback up to 15.5% at stores including Asda, Sainsbury's and M&S by joining a discount scheme. Major brands are offering savings to those who use a prepaid Ode card.
The Ode card is free for the first 12 months then £2.99 per year. It is available to employees currently working in education, in addition to carers, charity and healthcare workers, BirminghamLive reports.
Users can top up their card with a minimum of £10 either online or via its app. More information about the Ode card – including how to apply – can be found on the Discounts for Teachers website.
