Diplomatic fair raises funds for worthy cause

The much anticipated "YWCA Diplomatic Charity Bazaar" will be back with a myriad of outstanding products from around the world at CentralWorld Live Hall, 8th floor of CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road, from tomorrow to Sunday.

Organised by the Spouses of the Ambassadors of Thailand and the YWCA of Bangkok, the 67th edition of the bazaar will feature over 200 shops offering a selection of premium products from over 40 countries at special prices.

Highlighted products include pashmina home products and souvenirs from Nepal; Snow Lotus cream, bamboo towels and drinks from China; snacks, healthy shoes and cosmetics from Japan; red ginseng extract food supplements and cosmetics from Korea; ready-to-eat products and frozen foods from Malaysia; and souvenirs, tea and spices from Sri Lanka.

Prepare to browse through famous products from the West, which include chocolate and buckwheat pillows from Belgium; butter, cheese and supplementary products from Denmark; chocolate, cookies, sausages, pastry, silver accessories and cosmetics from Germany; snacks and handbags from Italy; olive oil and yoghurt from Greece; and argan oil from Morocco.

There will also be beef and salmon from Norway; jewellery, soap, aromatic candles and drinks from Portugal; skincare products, beverages, snacks, ham, and olive oil from Spain; home products, hair and skin products and kitchen utensils from the US; and Manuka honey, skincare products and food products from New Zealand.

Also, expect to shop for macadamia coffee from Kenya; fruits, beverages, dried meats, sausages and tea from South Africa; as well as frozen foods and souvenirs from Mexico.

Proceeds from the fair will go to help promote the quality of life for children, women and the underprivileged in many aspects such as education, career, infrastructure and the environment; as well as those suffering from disasters and other charitable projects.
