Groups will be able to 'dine on the Tyne' in style this Christmas in their own private pod on Newcastle's Quayside.
The popular festive dining experience, The Dining Society, will return to Urban Garden on the Quayside next month in time for the festive season. Customers will be able to enjoy food from award-winning restaurant Fusion inside the transparent dining pods which offer stunning views of Newcastle’s iconic bridges.
The cosy pods will be pitching up on the former site of the 'Quayside Seaside’ on Thursday, November 17, featuring indoor heating, a personal speaker system and free Wi-Fi.
Hosting up to ten guests per pod, diners will have an hour and a half to enjoy a meal in the pods, which will cost £45 per person.
Augusta Gilchrist, from organisers The Dining Society, said: “We’re making Christmas 2022 bigger and better than ever and we’re confident that everyone will love what we have in store. It has been an incredibly difficult year for everyone, so hopefully, this will allow family and friends to end 2022 on a high.
"In previous years we have gone with a more traditional Christmas menu but we want to keep developing and evolving the experience, so we are pairing up with Fusion, who people will know from Ramside Hall. They will step up the food offering and offer something different for our regular customers this Christmas.
"Dining while looking out on the iconic views of the Tyne and Millennium Bridge was a highlight for so many last year so we’re really happy to be back. We want to create the perfect Christmas night out for families, friends, and colleagues.
"We’re really excited to offer this unique experience and look forward to opening on Thursday, November 17."
