Dinamo Zagreb 'struggling with injuries' as six stars drop out ahead of Celtic visit

Dinamo Zagreb are "missing six top players" ahead of Celtic's visit to the Maksimir Stadium in the UEFA Champions League this evening.

That's according to Croatian media outlet HRT, who laid bare the fitness situation faced by Dinamo manager Nenad Bjelica.

Brendan Rodgers and his players have travelled to Croatia in search of their first away win in European club football's top tournament for seven years – a feat that would lift them to 11 points in the competition's league-phase and all but guarantee progression to the play-off round.

The hosts, of course, are targeting the same – Dinamo have seven points from five matches so far – however have been hit by a wave of injuries ahead of tonight's game.

As per Croatian media outlet HRT, Bruno Petković, Petar Sučić, Juan Cordoba, Josip Mišić and Arijan Ademi are sidelined, with Raul Torrente questionable as of the hours before kick-off, the latter having picked up a knock in last Friday's 1-1 draw with Slaven Belupo.

HRT said (via Google Translate): "It is possible that [manager] Nenad Bjelica will also reach for Branko Pavić in midfield, an 18-year-old from Zagreb who made his debut in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund and played [very] well.

"What is certain is that Sandro Kulenović will lead the attack , and behind him in the role of attacking midfielder will be Martin Baturina.

"[And so] there are around six-seven top players who are missing, also five players are not on the list for the Champions League.

"On the other hand, Celtic does not have such problems with the health of the players, and everyone who competed against Hibs in the Scottish [Premiership] last weekend should be ready for the [match] at Maksimir."
