Antonio Conte's Tottenham side have a big game in their top four race on Saturday, when they travel North to play Man United.
Spurs are currently three points behind fourth placed Arsenal and two behind Saturday's opposition, although they do have two games in hand over the Red Devils.
Ralf Rangnick's side go into the game on the back of a defeat to Man City and the current United boss spoke on the importance of the game, in his pre match press conference.
"We are full aware of importance of tomorrow [Saturday]," Rangnick admitted, as reported by Manchester Evening News. "We have to win that game, fully aware of that. We've had a good week of training."
"Now we have 12 games to play until the end of the season," Conte said after Tottenham's 5-0 victory over Everton on Monday. "I listen and you ask me in every press conference about the top four race. I said to my players that it's right to take responsibility about this because I think that from when I arrived to now we are stronger."
Both managers know the importance of the three points in Saturday's clash, with just five points separating fourth and eighth place.
Tottenham and Man United have both struggled with injuries and inconsistency so far this season, along with a change in manager after the last meeting between the two sides.
The Red Devils' 3-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier in the season was Nuno Espirito Santo's final game in charge of the Lilywhites.
A lot has changed since then and many players have improved with the Italian's arrival, but it still hasn't been enough to produce consistent results and displays.
In an exclusive interview with football.london, ex-Spurs striker and Betfair Ambassador Dimitar Berbatov gave his verdict on his two former sides, ahead of their tie on Saturday.
"Both teams are so inconsistent it drives me crazy at times," he admitted. "I think maybe it will finish in a draw [at Old Trafford]. Whoever makes less mistakes, the other team can take advantage and then score goals.
"I try to stay neutral because I love both teams, they gave me so much, but I'm going to be in front of the TV yelling, screaming...like everyone.
"Based on the last games, more pressure is on United because the way they perform against City, not because they lost. I think the overall performance of the team was bad and that's why they're under more pressure," Berbatov added.
"Spurs coming from 5-0 win against Everton is a big confidence boost for them but that's why I said 50/50 because both teams are so inconsistent this season."
This inconsistency means that neither team has secured the fourth spot in the league table and ex-Lilywhites defender, Jonathan Woodgate, had his say on the ongoing battle.
"I think the top four is still going to be difficult for United," he admitted, in an interview with Genting Casino. "The performances they’ve shown all season have been inconsistent...it’s really going to be tough for them."
Both past Spurs players also had their say on their former club's hopes of claiming a Champions League spot.
"If they become more consistent, but we’ve been saying it all season on Spurs, they’re very inconsistent," Woodgate said.
"Really inconsistent, like United, Arsenal at times can be inconsistent, but Arsenal, they’re fourth at the minute and they look like the ones who are going to nick it. And if they do finish fourth, what a job [Mikel] Arteta has done from the start of the season they had."
Arsenal still have to play Liverpool, Man United, West Ham and Tottenham in their final couple of months of the season, so although they are in the current best position for the top four race, it is still all to play for.
The 41-year-old reiterated what the ex-defender said and sent a warning to both of his former clubs, ahead of their Premier League tie.
"At the end of the day they need to be careful because if they continue like this, ups and downs, some other teams can leap ahead of them and go for the top four," Berbatov explained.
With a number of teams battling for fourth place, the two former Tottenham players' warnings over consistency is a vital improvement Spurs and Man United need to make.
For Conte, he will hope his side can use momentum from their victory on Monday to try and start a winning streak and for Rangnick, he needs his side to produce a positive reaction from the Manchester Derby defeat, meaning it's a big three points on the cards for both sides.
