Alright folks, grab your 44 oz. dirty sodas and settle in, because the drama coming from the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is truly the gift that keeps on giving and this time, it seems like Ms Jen Affleck might be the one shaking up MomTok.
Let’s rewind to the end of last season: Jen’s husband Zac dropped the bombshell that he’d been accepted into medical school in New York City.
This news sent shockwaves through their Utah-based life, with Jen torn between supporting her husband’s dreams and maintaining her flourishing MomTok empire.
The couple’s dynamic has always been a bit… shall we say, BONKERS?
Jen is the main breadwinner of the family, while Zac pursues his medical aspirations. Despite this, the couple uphold a lot of traditional values and are deemed the “good Mormon’s” of their friendship group on the show.
However, the show did reveal some less than kosher vibes between the pair. This includes fights about Zac’s gambling habit and *that* infamous Chippendales situation which led Zac into full “I don’t want to be married to you” mode. Just overall not great vibes.
Fast forward to August, and Jen posts a video of her wiping away tears as she showcased memories from their Utah home. The caption read, “Leaving behind so many memories in this home 🥺❤️ It’s bittersweet, but I’m ready for the next chapter. Can you guess where we’re headed???”
Spoiler alert: They made the big move to the Big Apple.
But just when we thought we had this story figured out, Jen decided to throw us all for a loop. On October 9th, she posted a TikTok that had fans choking on their Swig sodas. There she was, back in what looked suspiciously like Utah, with a ring finger barer than the Provo liquor store shelves.
The plot thickened even further when Mikayla Matthews posted a TikTok on October 13th, with Jen and other fellow MomToker Mayci Neeley. In it, Jen lip-synced to a scene from The Kardashians. She mouthed, “I don’t even know where we left off.”
Mikayla and Mayci replied with the audio, “You were still in a relationship”, to which Jen replied with the audio, “I was? Damn”.
What does this mean?!
But wait! Just when we thought Jen had traded her eternal companion for a life of singledom, she popped up in Mayci’s TikTok, flashing a big old rock on her ring finger, leaving us all gagged and incredibly confused. No, seriously I’m losing my mind trying to figure what’s going on.
So, Jen and Zac are still riding the love train… I guess? OR this is all part of a marketing ploy for season two of The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives (which has started filming according to TMZ).
Despite the confusion, a source told PEOPLE that rumours of a breakup are unfounded. Apparently, Jen often goes ringless, and it doesn’t ruffle Zac’s feathers.
As we await further developments, one thing’s for sure: I will continue to clock into whatever MomTok gives me. I am sat!
