In a year of great music acts coming to Cardiff including Ed Sheeran, read our review here, and Tom Jones set to perform at the Principality Stadium, Diana Ross is also coming to the capital. Diana will be in Cardiff less than a week after she was the headline act for Party at the Palace, a concert celebrating the Queen's Jubilee.
The queen of Motown will be performing at Cardiff Castle on Friday, June, 10. The show will be part of her UK Thank You Tour, where she will be thanking audiences for their continued support.
The icon is one of the most successful recording artists and entertainers of all time and has shaped the sound of popular music. She led The Supremes to chart dominance with hits such as Baby Love, Stop! In the Name of Love, and You Keep Me Hangin’ On and her solo career saw her collaborate with the Bee Gees and Lionel Richie as well as release some of the most recognisable tracks of all time, including Ain't No Mountain High Enough, Upside Down and I'm Coming Out.

When is Diana Ross playing in Cardiff?

What time is Diana on stage?
The box office for the event will open at 4pm and you can find the box office at the Castle Street entrance to the Castle, just left to the main door. The gates will open at 6pm and the concert is expected to finish at 10.45pm.
Who is the support act?
Welsh male choir Only Men Aloud will be supporting Diana Ross in Cardiff Castle. Only Men Aloud is a ten-strong male choir and have been in the limelight for nearly ten years.
They won the BBC One show Last Choir Standing and since then have performed at the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, The Royal Variety Performance, and gone on a very successful tour of the USA.

Will there be road closures?
Castle Street will be closed at 10pm until the crowds disperse, which is usually by 10.45pm, when Castle Street will be re-opened.
Where can I park?
There are a number of council-owned car parks which cater for 24-hour parking. A few examples include Sophia Gardens Car Park, which charges 24 hours a day and costs up to £17.60 for the full day. Castle Mews Car Park which charges between 8am and 8pm Monday – Saturday and costs up to £6.10 for five hours, and North Road Car Park, which costs £8.80 for a full day (until midnight that evening) - its charging hours are Monday to Sunday between 8am and 6pm.
What items are banned from Cardiff Castle?
Fans are asked not to bring a bag into the castle but are advised if they must bring one it can be no bigger than an A4 sheet of paper. You also can not bring in your own food or drink and there will be a range of catering offering a variety of street food and drink at the castle.
The concert is also a standing concert so limited seating will be allowed in the castle. Only one small foldable chair per person will be allowed and fans are asked to only bring a chair if necessary.
Other banned items are:
Anything that could be considered a weapon
Any type of pyrotechnics such as fireworks, flares, or smoke bombs
Aerosols, airhorns, megaphones, gas canisters, psychoactive substances aka ‘legal’ highs, paper lanterns, or glass items. These will be confiscated upon entry and not returned.
Any form of professional audio or visual recording equipment
An umbrella
Dogs with the exception of assistance dogs
Any valuables
Furniture of any kind
Food and drink
Will the concert still go ahead in bad weather?
As the concert is in the grounds of Cardiff Castle, there is no roof. Organisers of the event Orchard Live have said the concert will not be cancelled in bad weather and for fans to dress and bring suitable clothing. Umbrellas are not allowed.
