A diabetic mum was found dead in her Glenrothes home after suffering from a sickness bug.
Joanna Reekie, 37, from Glenrothes, had been bed-bound after falling ill on March 12. Two days later she was discovered by her sister Lauren and dad Lawrence after suffering diabetic ketoacidosis. The condition, which occurs when the body doesn't have enough insulin, was triggered by a virus Joanna had caught.
Hysterical Lauren tried to perform CPR on Joanna but she was pronounced dead by doctors at the scene.
