The AMMK general secretary, T.T.V. Dhinakaran, deplored the reported conduct of a councillor of the ruling party in Chennai Corporation who was said to have threatened a person who was undertaking the construction of a house.
In a series of tweets, he said it seemed that the apprehensions about the eventuality of the DMK coming to power in local bodies had been justified.
The AIADMK co-coordinator and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, asked the DMK whether it would get the councillor in question disqualified, apart from taking legal action.
