In his first public comments since his trade to the New England Patriots, wide receiver DeVante Parker indicated he was excited to join the organization.
Parker was traded to the Patriots on Saturday, as part of a deal with the Miami Dolphins. New England received Parker and a 2022 fifth-round draft pick, while Miami received a 2023 third-round draft pick.
Parker played in 10 games last season, finishing with 40 catches for 515 yards and two touchdowns. The wideout has enjoyed recent success, including the 2019 campaign. That year, he caught 72 passes for 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns.
Now, he is ready to help the Patriots, as transcribed by Zack Cox of NESN.com.

“I’m just blessed that they gave me a chance and gave me an opportunity to come out and help the team in whatever way I can,” the veteran wide receiver said. “I appreciate the fans for all their support, and I’m just looking forward to it. I’m ready to get it going.”
Parker will join a Patriots wide receiver growth looking for depth, as quarterback Mac Jones looks to follow up a promising rookie campaign.
