Details on Quincy Williams’ contract with Jets

The Jets re-signed linebacker Quincy Williams to a three-year contract worth $18 million that can max out at $21 million through incentives. The details and yearly cap hits are now known.

Williams gets a $4.5 million signing bonus and will have base salaries of $1.5 million in 2023, $6 million in 2024 and $6 million in 2025. His 2023 base salary and half of his 2024 base salary are guaranteed.

The Jets also added two void years to help lower the cap hits early on. That creates cap hits of $2.4 million in 2023 and $6.9 million each in 2024 and 2025. Williams can also earn $1 million in incentives via sack and playoff incentives and $2 million in such incentives in 2025.

Overall, a solid contract for a key contributor to the defense.
