Rangers have already lost the league and could find themselves battling Hearts for second place.
That's the shock verdict of former World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit, despite the Premiership season being only five games old. The former Arsenal Invincible believes Rangers' growing injury list has left them with too much ground to make up.
Rangers remain without first-choice strikers Youssef Chermiti and Lawrence Shankland. Chermiti faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, while Shankland is not expected back until the New Year.

Daisuke Yokota is also set to undergo surgery, while left-back Tuur Rommens has only recently returned to full training. Petit said: "Rangers have changed managers so many times recently, but stability is something that is really important.
"Honestly, when you look at the teams who win league titles every season, they all have stability. Celtic have had a perfect start to the season, so I think the way it is going, the title will be theirs again. Maybe Hearts will finish second too.
"Rangers? I don't see them as part of the picture. Too many injured players. They've already fallen off.
"It's a pity for Derek McInnes."
