Despierta América paid an emotional tribute Monday to journalist Ángel de los Santos, a longtime collaborator of the Univision morning show who died over the weekend.
The heartbreaking announcement was made live during the Aug. 3 broadcast, where the hosts paused the program to remember their colleague and express their condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. Although few details surrounding his death have been made public, the program revealed that De los Santos passed away in his sleep.
