A man was beaten with iron bars by attackers who forced their way into a house and stole money, the PSNI has said.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday in the Skeoge area of Derry.
Police say the victim, aged in his 20s, had to go to hospital.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary in the Skeoge area of Derry/Londonderry during which a man was beaten by two masked men using iron bars.
"The attackers are reported to have forced entry to a house in Beraghvale between 1am and 2am yesterday, Sunday 2nd April, damaging a window and door before assaulting the victim who is aged in his twenties. The attackers are also reported to have stolen money from the house. The victim required hospital treatment for his injuries."
The police spokesperson added: "Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area, and saw or heard anything out of the ordinary, or anyone who may assist their enquiries to establish who was involved and a motive.
